"Cauterize" is an October Noir song included on their second album Thirteen, released in 2019. The song has only two different lyric lines—'Heal me' and 'Feel pain', which each repeated 16 times in a row and separated by pure choirs, except for first repeat of 'Feel pain', which is repeated 8 times. 'Heal me' is chanted very quietly and can only faintly be heard underneath a cloud of choir, while 'Feel pain' is more clearly heard. These two pairs follow the title of this song, which means to burn the wound to stop it from bleeding. 'Burn the wound' is represented as 'Feel pain' and 'stop it from bleeding' is represented as 'Heal me'.

The song lasts 7:36, but was chopped down by two minutes and six seconds before putting on the CD. Of the seven songs that were chopped to fit on the Thirteen CD, "Cauterize" has the greatest length trimmed. The second repeat of 'Heal me' cannot be heard on the CD.
