"Fate" is an October Noir song included on their third album Fate, Wine, & Wisteria, released in 2021. This instrumental intro track comprises only of keyboards, including piano, played by Justin Thompson. This song and the title symbolizes the ghost as an entity that comes as a result of the fate of their life.
It is obvious that the title of this song is taken right from the first of three words in the album title. Each of the following two words in the album title would play as brief instrumental tracks later in the album—"Wine" and "Wisteria". Each of these and "Fate" serve as start of the respective chapters of the album under them same title. "Fate" marks the start of the Fate Chapter of the album, which comprises the following tracks "Windows", "Reverence (Make You Love)", and "Effigy".
