"Pictures of Matchstick Men (RIPeter)" is a single by October Noir and Type O Negative cover released on April 14, 2018. The song was originally written by Status Quo before the cover was recorded by Peter Steele and Ozzy Osbourne for Type O Negative. Just over 20 years later, October Noir used the lyrics, edit them in places, and re-recorded this song. As a nice tribute to Peter Steele who died in 2010, '(RIPeter)' was added to the song's title.
The song is about seeing the face of his girlfriend everywhere—underneath the pillow, reflection on the window, and up in the sky.
