Tom Noir

Tom Noir (born: April 30, 1984 in Pensacola, Florida) is the frontman and producer for October Noir. He can sing and play every instrument, including guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. He's an American of French descendant as noir is the French word for black. Tom Noir has low baritone vocals like Peter Steele's.

Background

Tom is a big Type O Negative fan and his favorite album is October Rust. While Type O Negative was still active, Tom was hoping Type O will make another haunting, autumn-themed album resembling October Rust. Then, on April 14, 2010 Type O frontman Peter Steele died. Tom was devastated when Type O Negative had disbanded permanently due to the death. This enticed him to form a band someday in order to make more music in the Type O Negative style. About six years after Type O broke up, he formed the band half-way named after him—October Noir—and played every instrument to record the first album The Haunting and the Powerful himself and was released on October 19, 2017. After the release, he recruited his friends Troy Lambert, Daniel "Stickz" Bryant and Jackie "Jaxxx" Daniel to join him for live shows. Then Troy and Jaxxx left the band after a little over a year after they joined, leaving Tom and Stickz as duet. October Noir released their second album Thirteen on October 1, 2019. Following the release, guitarist Doug Lane and keyboardist Justin Thompson joined the band. After releasing four singles in 2020 and 2021, their third album, Fate, Wine, and Wisteria, will be released on September 22, 2021, which would be their first ON album where Tom isn't recording most of the music.

Tom also likes other gothic/alternative metal bands like Danzig, Tool, The Cure, and Moonspell. He even likes hair metal bands like Mötley Crüe, The Cult, and Def Leppard. All of these mentioned bands influenced the making of October Noir's music.
